Look Forward Creativity Centre is a non– profit making organization that has been assisting the abandoned, orphaned, neglected and abused children in our community in the last couple of years.  We dedicate and commit ourselves to caring for these children by providing efficient and adequate professional services to all without discrimination of colour or religion.

Who We Are And What We Do?

Look Forward Creativity Centre is a non-profit organization (NPO) that looks after the welfare of abused children. These children are removed from their parents and placed in our care by the South African Social development due 3. Our primary purpose is to provide the children with clothing, housing, schooling, food, security and stability. In addition, we provide the children with the necessary therapy, life skills and emotional support that they need in order to become responsible adults and curb the cycle of abuse LOOK FORWARD CREATIVITY CENTRE can accommodate 40 children house and 30 children from the outreach between the ages of 0 months and 18 years. There are 50 elderly who are in our support system for food and medication. To cover the running costs of the Children`s Home, the marketing team has the giant task to raise R2 113 200 annually (R218per child per day). None of this amount is currently subsidised by the government. By supporting LOOK FORWARD CREATIVITY CENTRE you will give back to the community supporting an institution that is effectively administered and motivated to help children reach their full potential.

Our History

We’re A Family

Look forward started in November 2000 from an idea of a humble Catholic woman who dedicated herself to a life of celibacy as a Lay Sister and chose to have these children’s as her own and give them a family life. She started her volunteer work by loving and caring for those with HIV/AIDS and gave all of her time listening to them and the mental handicapped; she provided them with food parcels, soups, bread and old clothes. She desired to adopt a child, but seeing plight of so many abused, abandoned, orphaned and the destitute children. After a few years, she started an outreach program where she thought she could help many more children. The need just grew and soon she needed someone to go into the outreach program with her. All the children she met were precious to her and she treated them with compassion and loves them unconditionally. This was the beginning of the Mission and Vision of the Look Forward Creativity Centre and orphanage, which opened its doors in June 2007.

Today, we have a capacity of 40 children under our care, ranging from infants to young adults, providing for all of their basic daily needs: food, clothing, and a place to sleep. But Look Forward Creativity Centre gives these children much more than just a home. We give them a family. Each child is the recipient of daily torrents of love and affection from our warm, caring staff. We provide them with an education, life skills and summer camps. At LOOK FORWARD CREATIVITY CENTRE, we focus on giving our children all the building blocks they need to create their very own careers and homes. Our goal is to ensure that each and every one of our children, in spite of their tragic, painful past, has a bright, happy, and fulfilling future. The task of our devoted staff is a monumental one, but without outside assistance we would be unable to give our girls the tender loving care they so rightfully deserve. Of course, when they become independent, we as surrogate parents help them off and provide them with all the basic necessities needed to take this important step into adulthood and matrimony. The Home is open for every child in need and just lately we have taken in many more children from the saddest and grimmest of family backgrounds and it is because of the fact that our student body has grown so vastly that we have a desperate need for expansion.

Our objectives are to provide quality care, education, counselling and support to abandoned, orphaned and neglected children brought to us or found on the street; during our assessment or in the squatter camps. It is our wish to build a home that could at all times achieve the following:

To ensure that each abandoned, orphaned and abused child receive the best and most appropriate education available.

  • To love these children regardless of race, health, gender, handicap, religion or nationality.
  • To ensure initiatives that contribute towards a better environment for these children.
  • To provide counselling to help the children discover their goals and values by writing their own Stories, Novels and Poems; to make the Nation read what they went through and what they desire to become in the future.

Our Mission is to help influence the future development of children in our community and in our country. Our model seek first to understand why these children are abandoned or orphaned, for understanding them is the key finding value in them and value is the basis for respect, decisions and action.

Our Vision is to impact on the lives of billions of children throughout the world to achieve their own dreams and recognize their own values and Skills.
